Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!

This is our first year celebrating the holidays without my mother. We’ve all had her on our minds lately and I can still feel her presence around, especially when I’m surrounded by my family. It’s weird though, thinking about where we were this time last year, during our last Christmas with her. We knew at that time that she didn’t have much time left on this earth, so we savored her presence as much as we could. This Christmas didn’t really feel much like Christmas to me, until our families started gathering last night. As much as I love the clothes and the presents, family is really what makes Christmas so much fun for me.

So to all those celebrating, I hope you have a wonderful and joyous Christmas with your families. Enjoy the time with your loved ones and make sure they know how much you love and care for them. And for all those who don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a great day off work and if you’re so inclined, have a fantastic Chinese food and movie theater day!
